Happy Birthday Bruiser!

Our little boy is getting to be quite a big boy, Anthony turned 6 today! He had cupcakes yesterday with his class, today we all went out for dinner and Sunday he is having family and our close friends at Mama Concetta's - quite a celebration. He is quite excited about celebrating his birthday at least this year he has figured out his birthday is only on the 22nd instead of for a few weeks. On the scrapping side I've been very busy with the last challenge for Urban Anthology - create your own kit and then use it to scrap a few projects. So here are me layouts using the kit I created. Finally went to the dr's - yuck!

So I finally went and had my eyes checked today; I don't think I've gone in 3 years! Ouch! The outcome was a lot better than I had been thinking - dry eyes! So okay I'll use some drops can I please have some more contacts? NO! What! So that just about describes my appt. I have to go back in 2 weeks after using tons of different drops in my eyes to see if they are better then they will give me my new contacts. I can't believe I am stuck in my glasses for 2 more weeks. I do have to stop wearing them so much, but supposedly if I behave for the next few weeks then my eyes are fine - just needed a rest. Mom and Dad arrived today for their trip with Grammy and Grandaddy so we spent some time together this evening. Mom watched the kids for me while I ran and got groceries. It was so nice not having to try and watch the kids plus get the groceries; I was able to really do a good shop so hopefully that will hold us for awhile. Tomorrow is the pumpkin patch (Marc calls it pumpkin coach?) and Mike is coming along - I have to go pick out some coordinating outfits so that I can get some good pictures to scrap! Yes I am sick, but I so enjoy scrapbooking. :) Until then...

Another week completed

So for the kids and I, our week ends Thursday b/c we have no school "out" tomorrow, no extra evening events, I just finished my challenge for UA this week and so we are done! What a wonderful feeling especially since we've been hounded with germs this week. I am hoping the weather is nicer tomorrow b/c it is still rainy and COLD here and I would like to take the kids to the library tomorrow. Here is the layout that I made for the UA Dt challenge this week to use the colors purple, ivory, yellow, and grey. When I saw the color combo I knew instantly that this would be about my grandmother. The paper I chose for the house was her wallpaper in the dining room, she loved purple and so that is the roof. The chimney is a paper that reminded me of her handwriting and the purple pressed flowers were very similar to her rugs. She liked birds and flowers so they are also throughout the layout. Then I finished by writing the things that meant Grammy to me.

I found it!

This is what I decided on! A ring with both Mike and my birthstones and engraved with our names and wedding date. I'm hoping we can find time tomorrow to head to Kay's jewelry store and order it! :) Another happy thing is Buggy is finally feeling better, she was really sick and I was getting worried, but she is finally recovering. I think for the safety of all of us we will stay home for the rest of the week. This is one reason that I am very glad that I only volunteer to teach and so can put my kids above a paycheck. Now that it is extremely late I had better head to bed - no wonder I wake up feeling like I never went to bed. I'm just praying Vinny sleeps through the night tonight.

Beautiful Day

What a pretty fall day it was today - cool, crisp and the colors are so pretty here. I just wish we all felt well and could enjoy the weather. Tracy was down today with a tummy bug, Anthony is better though so that is good. I can't believe it is time to start another week; I wish I felt more rested and ready for the new week but that isn't the case this week. We stopped by the house on the way home and there are still so many things to decide - I'm so tired of decisions! Here is too a new week. Here is a layout I completed this past weekend about our 3 boys.

Try Again...

I thought I was back on track when I made my last entry, but I guess that didn't hold. :) I can't promise I can keep this up - I look back and the past few weeks/months seem like such a blur. So many things have happened and yet so little newsworthy it seems. Yesterday was our 10 year anniversary - I still can't believe 10 years have flown by; 4 houses later and 4 babies later. We had a babysitter last night so Mike and I headed out with Vinny to Toys R Us and the mall. Yes, we spent half of our adult free time shopping for our kids - how pitiful is that! We went to the mall to look at the jewelry stores; Mike wanted to buy me some jewelry, but the item he picked was too flashy for me and instead I ended up with nothing. Should have kept my mouth shut! He said I could still look and when I found something I really wanted then we'd go buy it, made me feel a little better when I heard that. Kids have been sick with first a cold for the past 4 weeks and now a tummy thing. I've been struggling with my eyes and a cold too. I think a lot of it is we are all so tired, this house building is draining.
