Top Dog Dies Home Album and finisher

Today I am up at the Bella Blvd blog and also guesting at Top Dog Dies!  I received this great house die and house finisher set from Top Dog Dies to create with.

Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including My Favorite Things, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions. Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by British designer Stephanie Weightman.

Top Dog Dies Home Album Die was the perfect size to house the candid cards from Bella Blvd.  I chose to use a canvas to house my saying, but instead I chose to use the back of the canvas to form a shadowbox perfect for decorating!

To mold my paper around my canvas, I trimmed it to the size I wanted and then wet the paper, this allowed me to mold my paper and by placing stamp blocks in the corners as it dried, my paper now fit my frame.

After my frame dried I began assembling my house using some of the Top Dog Dies Home finishers pieces to decorate my house.

I doodled on my house to add some definition and added a few embellishments to enhance my house.  I trimmed down the candid card with the Family Rules and of course a few more flowers for my house.

You can see another canvas I made on the Bella Blvd blog using the Family Forever collection.

Would you like to see what else I created with the great dies from Top Dog Dies?  Make sure you stop by the blog to see a fun 3D project I put together and for a chance to win $50 worth of exclusive dies from Top Dog Dies (their choice!).  To register for the giveaway use the Rafflecopter app on the page to enter. Deadline to enter will be May 31, 2014 at midnight Central Standard Time.

Summertime Love - Simple Stories

Sometimes you just need to scrap SIMPLE.  Thanks to Simple Stories I was able to use the Summer Insta Squares, SN@P, and stickers to create this layout.

I keep wondering if I should doodle around the edges, what do you think?

Make Time for Happy - Studio Calico Lemon Lush

I just played with some products and decided to try some trends...

I went with triangles - I don't know why I find these so difficult, but they seem to stump me.
I played with purple - don't care for the color, but sure love the pops it gives to the page.
Some scripty (thought about brush script, but didn't get to that) words
and splattered to go along with the watercolory look of the page.
Oh, I also used some negatives and do you see my new toy???  I have a Tim Holt tiny attacher and I am totally in love, I am attaching everything I can find, lol!

I'm playing along with Challenge YOUrself, come join in!

Changing Gears - Simple Stories

Have you seen the Hey! Pop collection from Simple Stories?  It's a mini collection that packs a big punch and was perfect to document this season of our lives.

A little modeling paste and gear stencil added the perfect touch and some white on the dark background.

So In Love - Simple Stories

I created this layout using the Hey! Mom and the Fresh Air mini collections by Simple Stories.  I tried a little mix media with this layout - the butterflies are some paint I found in my stash with stickles on top.  The grasses were also from the same stencil, but I used some heavy body paints to give some dimension.

Weeks 32 & 33

So I took a little Easter break I guess, it wasn't planned, but I just lost steam and was a little overwhelmed.  I have tons to show you in the next few weeks as I have been playing this whole time and creating up a storm.
Here is my documentation of our weeks 32 and 33 using We R Memory Makers cards and stickers from Simple Stories.

SAHM - Teresa Collins

Every month I join with Corrie Jones and others to document themselves for the month.  Thanks to Corrie's inspiration I started this project in September right after our 6th was born and have documented the ups and down since then.  While I just put this together, the thoughts (which are hidden on the back) are what were with me for the month of March.  I titled this SAHM because I was struggling with my worth; I don't just want to be a SAHM and I'm not.  I am so much more.

This quote I found really sums up March for me, "Sometimes you do not feel the weight of something you have been carrying until you feel the weight of its release."  I am praying April is a MUCH different month for me!

Handle with Care Everyday - Pebbles/Special Delivery

I love to use collections in ways that they aren't intended for - actually I consider it a challenge to see how far I can stretch my supplies!  So, I took the challenge and instead of documenting my children as babies I chose to document myself and my job as a mom of 6 with the newest collection from Pebbles, Special Delivery.

I loved the grey and pink papers in the Special Delivery collection and I also love journal cards, so I began by cutting my favorite papers into 3x4 cards.  I played around with the placement until the cards looked pleasing to my eye.  I have learned that even though the colors didn't come from my picture, as long as there enough neutrals involved in the layout, you can play with most any color combos - and I wanted to play with pinks for me!

Once my 3x4 cards were assembled I added in the frames, flowers, and tags layering to achieve dimension and interest.  Even though this wasn't a baby layout I wanted to give a soft feel to the layout so I took strips of misted tissue paper and sewed them to my white cardstock giving a baby blanket feel to the layout.

The handle with care die-cut became my title with the addition of a cut from the Silhouette store with the word everyday.  I wanted to focus on my job as a mother and so I used the roller stamp to stamp my mission (and Bible verse) onto the striped pink card.

I have another Special Delivery layout on the Pebbles blog, using the collection in a more traditional manner, hope to see you there!

Love You So - Pebbles

I am up on the Pebbles blog today with a Special Delivery layout, well actually, I used the Special Delivery collection, but I love to see how I can use things in a different way!  Here is another layout that was created with the Special Delivery - boy line, can you tell?  LOL

I've got enough babies in my life right now, so I decided to use the gorgeous collection to highlight this precious picture I somehow captured of 2 of our boys.  I wanted to keep my layout dreamy and soft which these papers were perfect for!

Here are some close-ups...

If you want to see the rest of this layout, stop by the Pebbles blog, I'd love to see you there!

Soak Up the Sun - Simple Stories

Have you ever gotten a chance to play with an airbrush?  Well I did and I had so much fun creating this layout for the Perfect Paper Crafting Hop that Simple Stories is joining in this week.

I used the Simple Stories Summer Sn@p! items to create this layout.  Make sure you stop by the Simple Stories blog to see exactly how I airbrushed this layout to create the watery feel on my layout.

My Happy Place - Crate Paper

I purchased a Paper Camellia kit and it had a whole package of the Styleboard die-cuts from Crate Paper, well I am in heaven!  So I decided to combine my love of pieces with a picture of my happy place to create this!

I just had to grab some more of this line, now off to create!

The Art of Expression

This was my first ever published page!  Unfortunately, it was never returned to me which makes me so sad.  It was published in Scrapbook Trends in 2012 and it was using Nikki Sivil's products.

Lots of distressing and inking back then, I must have had more time!

Family Love - Bella Blvd

Another gridwork layout using Bella Blvd's Family Forever collection.  I love the combo of blue, yellow and red!

You can see more details and my thoughts on this layout at the Bella Blvd blog today!

Captured - Bella Blvd and PageMaps

Some of us from the Bella Blvd DT were asked to join Becky Fleck at PageMaps for this month's sketches.  I loved the sketch I received and actually created quite a few variations, but I felt this one fit the sketch the best.

Here was my sketch:

And here is what I created:

My layout fits the sketch in its original position
or turn the sketch 90* and flip it and it fits that way too!

Here are some detail shots:
