Words for the Heart - Cocoa Daisy

I loved these words strips included in the Cocoa Daisy kit and the flower page was perfect for fussy cutting.  I kept trying to get these strips on other layouts and it didn't work.  So I finally decided to grab my favorite ones and include them on a layout.  I'm pretty pleased how this turned out; the kit included lots of papers that aren't my normal me, but I LOVE how they have made me create!  Thanks Cocoa Daisy!

the Shoes - Cocoa Daisy

I just had to have the scribble stamps that you see on this layout and so I bought the September kit from Cocoa Daisy.  I have had so much fun playing with this kit and not only the stamps, but just the contents!

I played along with the designer challenge that called for
1.  A scribble - thanks to my new stamps I can scribble now, lol
2.  A star - yep, thanks to the Heidi Swapp rub-ons which I love!
3.  2 fonts for your title - yep, 3 on this layout!
4.  packaging - I used the packaging that came with my kit, the yellow tissue paper was so pretty and added an unexpected pop of color.  The dance card was also a notecard that the dance store gave my daughter to celebrate her new pointe shoes.
5.  paint/ink - I used mist for my splatters, and ink for my stamping.

the New Me - Paper Camelia with American Crafts and Crate Paper

I finally got a chance to play with some of my purchases, unfortunately the sun hasn't shone here in FL all week so better pictures will have to wait.

This was the September kit from Paper Camelia featuring Shimelle's collection and Crate Paper's Notes and Things.  I had printed these pictures which I used on my monthly layouts over the past year and then this picture taken one year after having Rocky, the New Me!

Favorite Memories - Basic Grey

I created this layout for a call at PaperCrafts & Scrapbooking for stitching.  I don't normally use Basic Grey, but I loved this collection and it fit these pictures so well.  This was quite a few years ago, it amazes me how quickly our dudes are getting big!

You can find this layout on page 72 of the October PaperCrafts & Scrapbooking.

U & ME - Guest Designer at Pebbles

Today I am sharing a few home decor projects on the Pebbles blog to bring the fall weather into your home.  I couldn't resist making a layout too with the gorgeous Home+Made collection.

I started my page witht the You are my Happy card.  I decided to give some pops of color without overwhelming the page I would add hexagons using the various papers from the collection.  And the large stickers are perfect for an eye catching title.

A few details...

I'd love for you to stop by the Pebbles blog and let me know what you think of the other projects I created!

Free Your Smile - Cocoa Daisy kit

I HAD to have the stamp set included in this kit and so I finally gave in and bought the kit.  My kit arrived at lunchtime and by 2pm I was already creating with it, what a great kit!  Here is what I put together from my first impression of the kit (and yes, Alissa, I did use my stamp!).

Some detail shots...

Here is a link to the kit, I also dipped into my Crate Paper Notes and Things for the title stickers and the butterfly sticker.  The gold scalloped border is from Pebbles Home+Made.

Having a Blast - My Mind's Eye

I just received the new My Mind's Eye, Wild Berry and was dying to cut out some of the triangles from the one page.  And then there were all those words that were just calling to be fussy cutting...  I kinda made the layout without a picture - I knew I had pictures of my niece from her birthday, but I just created this time.

I added in some glittery on the paper and then on my flowers and the heart with the today since little Nana is quite the pink sparkly child, makes you think of a cupcake!

I am linking up to the MME glitter challenge with this layout, I had a blast creating with this newest collection.

Meeting Olaf - Simple Stories

Do you want to build a snowman?

When I saw the sticker with this saying in the Cozy Christmas collection I had to create a layout about meeting Olaf at Disney on my birthday (in May).  Yep, I used Christmas papers for a summer picture, but it works!

Lots of fussy cutting, again some Sn@p cards and cuts, a few sprinkles and you have a fun layout to document an awesome memory!  See more close-ups on the Simple Stories blog!

Dec 25 - Simple Stories

Today I have a Christmas layout to share with you!  Yep, I know, it isn't time yet, but Simple Stories just released a new collection called Cozy Christmas and so I finally started scrapping last year's Christmas.

This page came together very quickly with the use of the Sn@p! collection of products; I love these items because they are great for added layers and fun cut designs.

You can see more details of this layout on the Simple Stories blog.

Live it Up - My Mind's Eye and My Scrapbook Kit

I got to go on airboat this past January.  It was so fun, and such an adventure!  It started with where you pay to take the ride, it was in a bar.  Well I have never been in a bar and needless to say I had a bunch of guys surrounding me within seconds, I got right beside my poor brother-in-law after that I stayed right there until we got out of that building!

The ride was super fast and all over due to the wind.  And did you know alligators can jump, and jump really high?  I sure didn't, but once they told me I made sure I moved away from the edge of the boat!

Thanks Uncle Mario for the awesome adventure!

I started with this piece of chipboard to go with my pictures.  And of course everything needs flowers because it was still a girl page about me.

Don't you just love the sign and lock!  Like that was going to keep me safe.

If you look close in the gold circle I somewhat managed to capture a picture of one gator.

My hubby actually stayed home with the kids as there was no way I was going to let them go.

Enjoy the Journey - My Mind's Eye and My Creative Scrapbook

I had the pleasure of guesting with My Creative Scrapbook again this month.  I was delighted when I opened my box and found My Mind's Eye Mint Julep!

Here's the first layout I created and a step-by-step on how I created it.

This is how I started the layout, my basic structure.  The script words and the color of the page just seemed to fit these pictures.

Here are the next pieces I added in, again fussy cutting from the script paper.

And then some final details of the page...
