So Not FUN - Bella Blvd

I have worked with all of the new Bella Blvd collections, except the Halloween Magic line.  Since we don't celebrate Halloween I didn't have much for the collection, BUT...

I believe as a Design Team member of Bella Blvd it is my job to showcase each item created as best as possible, without compromising my beliefs.

So, I set off on the challenge of using this newest collection to highlight my pictures...

My son decided to ride Big Thunder Mountain this past month.  I have no clue why he did it as he isn't a big fan of rides anyway (course I'm not either so...).  Either way, he got on, I snapped pictures of the train he was on in hopes of seeing him (I did get him in all the pictures), and he cried.  He didn't lose his lunch, but he was sure close when I grabbed him at the end!

Here are some details...

So what do you think?  Did I accomplish my goal of showcasing Halloween Magic in a non-Halloween way?

You can see the Pinterest image that we were using for inspiration on the Bella Blvd blog.

Merry - Simple Stories

How about some cuteness?
This is one of the few 8.5x11 layouts I have done.  I chose to do this size as I really didn't have a story or any other pictures, just this one picture that takes center stage as our son does.

I used mainly Simple Stories, but my older stash with a few newer pieces.  I love how the products mix so well.

Lean On Me - Cocoa Daisy with Crate Paper

I played along with the designer challenge at Cocoa Daisy and created this for the challenge using the Sept and Oct Cocoa Daisy kits full of Crate Paper goodies.

Well you discovered my secret, I can't ride a bike.  I grew up in a county area with no sidewalks and such and really didn't have the time either to learn.  So my hubby is helping me learn,  By the pictures I think I've got a way to go, but I am proud to be trying.

Anna Griffin - Holiday Card Kit

So you all know by now I am not much of a card maker, but...  I received the Holiday Card Kit to work with for Anna Griffin and I loved making these cards!  Everything was in the box that I needed, no thinking, no figuring how to cut my 12x12 product down to fit well on a card.  I even like making cards (or at least under these circumstances)!

More Anna Grifin work for HSN - Tags

I'm back today sharing an assignment I worked on for Anna Griffin.  The assignment this time was to use tags.  I can't find a link on HSN, but there is one on QVC-UK for this product.  Again, the photos are stock photos.

Here I used the tags as a border.

Here I used the tags to build a background on my page.

And a few cards using the tags

And a tag set dressed up a little bit.

Thanks for all of your comments about this opportunity, it is fun to stretch myself and use products I don't normally come in contact with.  I'm actually finding that I am enjoying using the AG products on everyday projects too :)

Santa Baby - Simple Stories DIY Christmas

I am up on the Simple Stories blog today sharing a few layouts created from items not created for scrapbooking.  I love to use items in my scrapbooking that aren't traditional, such as the banner kit from Simple Stories newest DIY Christmas line.

Can you spot the odd items I used on this layout?

I made the background of my page from the Evergreen Stripe paper cutting it in half (minus a little) and then making sure the stripes formed perpendicular lines.  It did take a few tries for me to get it right, lol.

I spy a label wrap here and some tags from the tags & twine set!

How about an envelope wrap on this detail peek and a banner piece from the bunting banner set?

I stole some twine from the tags & twine kit and untwisted the piece to just use the red here.

Stop on by the Simple Stories blog to see what other pieces I repurposed!

New Opportunities - Anna Griffin

Years ago I was introduced to scrapbooking when I was pregnant with our second child; I fell in love immediately.  I have always loved paper/pens/pencils/office supplies and then add to it pictures of our new little girl, I was in heaven.  I began to pray that the Lord would make me creative and as I have said before, the journey has blown my mind!

I have been so blessed to have been on design teams for challenge blogs, kit clubs, and manufactures.  I have been published online and in print magazines.  I have done a podcast.  And now...

I have had my work on HSN with Anna Griffin!  Yep, I received an e-mail a little bit ago asking if I would like to create for them.  At first I was a little surprised, actually a lot surprised because I don't really consider my work to be her style, but I thought it would be fun to give it a try.  If you follow me on instagram, you got to see a picture or two of my cards on TV.  So today I thought I would show you one of my assignments that I did.  I can't wait to hear what you think!

So let's start with my favorite layout I created, this was an assignment to use the border stickers sold here...

I tried to replicate the Eiffel tower with the borders in this layout.

And of course a baby, because that is what I am most used to scrapping.

And I created a few cards too...

There were many different things to consider as I designed for Anna Griffin, one being, you don't use pictures of your own.  My kids kept asking who are those people, mom?

I was actually surprised how easy it was to create with materials that aren't my normal.  I enjoy a challenge and I really think it helped shake up my normal scrapbooking and give me a new wind.
So what do you think, did I do Anna Griffin justice?

Thanks to all my readers for taking the time to comment and let me know you are here, I love reading all the comments!  I have contacted the winners of the Pebbles giveaway and will have your boxes out this week.

Disney Magic - Cocoa Daisy and Crate Paper

I used some leftovers from the September Cocoa Daisy kit and combined it with the newest kit of Crate Paper goodies to create this...

These pictures were all about the story of what happened so I chose book titles and different pieces that encorporated my story theme

Have a magical day!

So Proud of You - Paper Camelia with My Mind's Eye

I loved the Paper Camelia sketch that was issued and thought I would play along with this layout.  The sketch called for circles, but I wanted to speak about my daughter's heart and so I pulled out my old Fiskar shape cutter and went to town cutting hearts.

I used some messy splatters and scribbles (both from my pen and from the September Cocoa Daisy kit) to show how messy life can get sometimes.  These pictures weren't exactly about our dilemma, but they did show how long she has been waiting to see Anna and Elsa and how much she is in love with all things FROZEN!

The Perfect Day - Cocoa Daisy kit with Crate Paper

While I was putting together my grid layout and looking at all the amazing pieces in the Open Book collection, I put aside the wood frame and the deer because I knew it would look perfect with my brother's wedding pictures.  Another place I multi-tasked!  I finally found time and the right pieces to complete the layout and share it with you today.

I personally didn't think I would use a deer or deer head in my layout, but it was perfect for the rustic barn setting.

I wanted the rub-on I love everything about this to stand out, so I rubbed it onto vellum which allowed it to stand out enough to be read.

Another piece had the perfect day sentiment on it, so I just cut out the oval size and placed it with this frame and a few rub-ons because gold is always good.

This finishes my triangle of flowers that leads your eyes around the page.

This was the October kit from Cocoa Daisy (main and add-ons).
