Dreaming Big - Simple Stories

I AM...
lovin this new collection from Simple Stories
on the Simple Stories blog today with 2 other projects
so glad you are here!

I created this layout to document where I am believing 2015 will take us.  Sometimes when we dream we aren't sure of the exact path we should take, instead we take one step at a time, almost like we are feeling our way.  I don't know what the end of 2015 will look like, but I know that I/we are on the right path and that excites me!

I hope to "see" you at the Simple Stories blog
here is a little sneak of what you will find there

You can also find the I AM eBook here, and it is free and beautiful!

I spy...

I have been spotted a few times this week!

The first was at Crate Paper's Blog and then on the We R Memory Keeper's Blog with the same layout, how funny is that!

I was also on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog with another layout using my February Hip Kit Club kit.

Today I am also on the Hip Kit Club blog sharing a Project Life spread and a VIDEO!  Now it isn't one with my voice as I haven't figured out much of the video world yet, but it is a start.  I'd love to hear what you think!
Here's a peak, see you there!

Week 20 & 21 - Simple Stories

So a little flashback here today!  I finished this spread awhile ago but I forgot to post here.  I have to find the actual Christmas day spread as it is done and not on my blog either :(

I used a mix of Simple Stories products here, DIY Christmas and Cozy Christmas.  I had so many pictures for Christmas this year that I started Week 21 on this side keeping the Christmas Eve activities and the next morning and then I documented the actual Christmas Day on the next pages.

You Mean Everything to Me - Hip Kit Club

I played along with the Hip Kit Club weekend challenge last week - to scraplift another DT member, Missy.  Wow, I love her work, but it is so far away from my normal with the mixed media, torn edges, and fun layers.  I gave it a try and love the me piece with some watercolors and messy black threads.  I used my February Hip Kit and a few pieces from my February Cocoa Daisy kit as they were already laying on the table from the last layout.

So Much to Love - Cocoa Daisy

I just received my February Cocoa Daisy kit and I instantly paired these pieces together, when I saw the sticker on my bag of Project Life cards I knew exactly which picture I was going to scrap.

This is "our" dog, but he lives with our dear neighbors.  Smokey doesn't like many people, but he is best friends with all of us and he adores my hubby.

Notice the stamping?  I was inspired by a fellow DT member, Marinette and her amazing backgrounds, I just had to give it a try.

Just Be You - Hip Kit Club

I played along with the weekend challenge at Hip Kit Club and created this layout.

I had actually already started the layout, the basic building blocks were in place, but I was still waiting for the inspiration to hit to really give this layout the umph it needed.  When I saw the challenge with the colors of red/orange, blue, teal I decided to add in a few pops of color to really bring the energy up on the layout.  I added in a trail of stars and splatters to lead your eye through the page.  Notice that I did a little multi-tasking with using the negatives from the star punches.

You have until Thursday to complete the next weekend challenge, stop by and join us!

Paper Tricks - Anna Griffin

I'm back sharing some more Anna Griffin assignments.  This was called 12x12 paper tricks, they were dies that were 12" long that created intricate folds such as the purple borders and the wedding dress that I created.

This die looked like waves to me and so I created a seascape.

This was a combination of dies.

Answered Prayers - Hip Kit Club

I am up on the Hip Kit Club blog today sharing my thoughts on how to shake up different designs.  In this layout I started with a linear design and then I shook things up with using my embellishments to pull the design from the top to the bottom.

What tricks do you have to spice things up?

You can see more of my tricks and tips at the Hip Kit blog, see you there!
