Welcome to the Greatest Gift of the Season blog hop!

Welcome to the Greatest Gift of the Season blog hop!

Welcome to Day 1 of our inspiration week thanks for joining me today!  If you are just dropping by make sure that you start at Scrapping Everyday Miracles to get all the details on our hop.  Make sure that you stop by every day this week because I have created a ton of ornaments (some good and some that you don't want to try) and I will be showing you how to recreate them, here is just a snapshot of a few.

Today I am going to show you how to make icicles on your ornaments.  You will need glitter (the finer ones work best) and some runny glue that dries clear.

I ended up using glue by Art Glitter - this glue ran everywhere and then I sprinkled glitter on the glue.  Just make sure that you have thought out where you are going to let this dry - I sure didn't!  :)  I finally found a stand and put my ornament on a hanger and then let it drip onto a paper towel.

Here's a shot with some decorations on them.

The secret word(s) for today are:  Do you

And of course any hop has prizes, but how about this for a prize...  If you become a follower of my blog (or already are) and leave a comment you will be entered into a random drawing to win a place at this awesome online event hosted by one of my favorites (yes, again) Christy Tomlinson.  You do have to leave your e-mail because I will pick a winner on Sunday, December 4th and class starts Monday the 5th.

I have invited 11 of my favorite artsy friends to join me in this workshop!

  1. Great ornaments! We make ones where you drizzle tole paints inside then shake and turn it around to get the whole thing covered... then dry upsidedown over those fibre egg packages (I so cannot think of the word)

I'm sure those egg trays would work great to balance your ornaments on too :)

  8. I really really love the ornaments... I sooo wish that I could get some ornaments like that to decorate... I think my daughter would love the sticky glitter mess too. Maybe if I hunt real hard I could find some here in Norway. I might just have to have my mom pick some up for me and keep them until I get back to Cali. You are super talented Wendy and I just loves all of these.

  9. Oh so pretty! I had to chuckle when I read the part about planning a way for them to dry because I could totally see myself making one and then panicking because I couldn't set it down. I really want to give this a try!
