Welcome to the Greatest Gift of the Season blog hop!
December - how did we ever get back here again? This year has just flown by - I still have a list a mile long of things that I wanted to do in 2011, either I had better hurry up or rethink my plan!
This is day 4 of our inspiration week at Scrapping Everyday Miracles; make sure that you stop there first to get all the details on our hop and the prizes you can win. Every day this week I am showcasing different ornaments I made (some good and some that you don't want to try) and I will be showing you how to recreate them, here is just a snapshot of a few.

I used some sheet music and collaged my ornament - I would have loved to have some Christmas music, but you really can't tell. I ripped a lot of papers up first and poured out some matte medium and then brushed the ball with the medium and began covering it with paper. It was really pretty easy and the result was well worth the stick!
And then I glue gunned some extras to dress the ornaments up even more!
Here's a little cheat I did - Tim Holtz tape and voila - perfect ornament!
1. Come back and visit us each day this week to be inspired. Hop to the Design Team member’s personal blog and collect your secret word. At the end of the week e-mail us at scrappingeverydaymiracles@yahoo.com with the secret phrase and you will be entered into the drawing for this awesome prize from Burlap & Buttercups, one of my personal favorite kit clubs.
2. Create something or many things based on our inspiration and link it to the Mr. Linky by December 10th for a chance to win a December kit from Scrapbook Circle, yes this is also a favorite of mine!
3. Every day that you come back to visit you will also find a new discount code to give you some help in your shopping; some codes are good just for the day and others are for a week so make sure you get them quick!
4. Have a ton of fun and don’t forget to join us on Monday, December 5th for our December challenge and another awesome prize package!
These are so great. I saw some candles this week that must have been used this same technique but they used a napkin... they were beautiful but way too expensive.... These ornaments are fantastic

ReplyDeleteHi Wendy! I wanted to swing by and check out your latest and greatest- this is a fantastic project!!! Love the hand painted ball ornaments as well and the "In The Stillness" page- wow- I like all three layouts in that post! I have a small plastic ball that used to be a globe till my daughter ripped the map off- I think this treatment would be perfect for it and will give it a try- thank you for all the tips!!
