My Beloved Scrappy Area

Today I thought I'd share my craft room and some of my organization tricks.  I have always loved stationary, pens, desks, organization, it's what makes me tick, lol!  I have bought many containers over the years for different places we've lived, so my biggest piece of advice is be flexible; needs change and what might work for you one day, might not next year.  So don't spend a lot, but get creative and make sure it fits your needs.

This first piece I've had for years; at one time I had two of these holding up my work area, but now the other one is holding shoes.  This holds my extras - stamps, cutting dies, adhesives, and cards I've made.  I believe it was originally from Walmart and doesn't fit anything 12x12, but it works for other containers all were either from Walmart or Target.

This next piece was built by my husband, the bottom 2 rows hold all my 12x12 containers/products with ease.  I love these clear paper trays I purchased a few years ago from Scrapbook.com.  The teal baskets were from Target and hold ALL of my Thickers and then some of my Bella Blvd products.  The top shelf has my twine, sewing box, small adhesives, and roller stamps.  On top I have my sewing machine, Epson PictureMate, my Prynt printer, and my Instax share where I can grab and go with the next project.

Next up is my desk and actually a shot of most of the room.  My desk, at this moment, is a Kitchen cart.  To make it the right height for me, my hubby added a sheet of melamine, both giving me the white desk I wanted and some more height.  I have plenty of open area around the cart that I can either add more storage, bar chairs, or the school cart where I have my kids schoolwork as the room is also the office and school storage area.  The bookcase that you see is also from IKEA and holds my planners, 2018 family album, and my Project Life album that I am working in.  The Paper trays have my cardstock that I use most often.

I love the cart because of these drawers and now I no longer loose my ATG gun, mini stapler and other tools I use often.

The other drawer has my pens, favorite ink pad, and other important items I grab for often.
(Baskets from Walmart)

Right behind me is this lovely table that my little boy built for me; he likes to do his schoolwork in here when I haven't filled it with projects.  Here is where I put my papers as I am working with different collection so I can grab the paper easily and they won't get bent up on my desk.  The rolling cart is from Michaels and holds lots of lovely goodies.  The Walmart baskets hold different manufacture's products so I can grab them as I work on various assignments.

Here's a look at the top - my little baskets with my planner goodies for the month and the die-cuts from the January Cocoa Daisy kits.  My tools are in a bucket and my most used stamps are ready to grab.

I just found this container at IKEA and it worked really well for my December Daily so I am trying it with my February Cocoa Daisy kit this month.  It does fit in the Michaels cart, but it wasn't as handy as out on my desk area where I keep it now.

The tall cabinet by the door (also from IKEA) shown in the earlier picture holds all of my extras - ink pads, washi tape, doilies, older but loved embellishments, wood veneer that I really need to purge, and all of my punches.

I love organization and I have found that it makes my life much happier if each thing has a home and stays put in that home.  I do shift things around as my needs change, but my tools pretty much stay put.  I do buy lots of teal and pink, and tons of baskets of all sizes, if I don't use them I have no problem finding some of the kids stuff to organize!

If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment and I will hopefully be able do direct you to the product I've used, I have included affiliate links to some of the products.
